That is the promise of our launch campaign for Hogwarts Legacy — your invitation has finally arrived. Now, everyone is welcome to Live the Unwritten.
Our launch film tells the story of one owl’s perilous journey to deliver your invitation. We packed it with details we knew would send fans into a frenzy — a “Professor Weasley” name drop, the reveal of the killing curse, a cameo from a certain nearly-headless ghost, and many more.
We also saved our most emotional surprise for the very end. A nostalgic needle drop of the iconic John Williams score. The film rose to #2 trending on YouTube and the reactions from the fans have been nothing short of magical.
We wanted every player to be able to see themselves in our key art. So we featured a hooded student staring out over the vast open world of Hogwarts Legacy.
A familiar world, now brimming with new opportunities and new challenges for a new class of students.
And since so many fans are drawn to the Dark Arts, we brought that sinister fantasy to life for the Deluxe Edition. At Hogwarts, your legacy is what you make of it.

Live the Unwritten helped Hogwarts Legacy soar to the the #1 spot on Steam, Xbox, and Playstation storefronts, and break the Twitch record for the most-watched singleplayer game with 1.3 millions viewers — all before the game officially launched. It went on to sell over 12 million copies in its first two weeks, making it WB's biggest game launch ever and cementing it as an early contender for Game of the Year.
